• الفعل يكون فعل مساعد له استخدامين كما يلى :

1- كفعل رئيسي ( إذا جاء كفعل وحيد في الجملة ) مثل :
1-He is good at English.هو جيد في الإنجليزي *
2-We are students. نحن طلاب *
2- كفعل مساعد في الأزمنة المختلفة (كما فى زمن المضارع المستمر) :

1-She was cooking meat.هي تطبخ لحم .

2-She is playing karate. هي تلعب كاراتيه .

لاحـــــــــظ الأتى:

يلاحظ أن مصدر هذا الفعل يختلف عن التصريف الأول منه علي عكس معظم الأفعال التي يكون تصريفها الأول هو نفسه مصدرها حيث أن مصدر هذا الفعل هو ( be )'

* تستخدم هذه الضمائر مع الفعل المساعد have وليكون المعني يملك أو يحصل علي.

* ومع بقية الضمائر ( المفردة ) يستخدم 2-has got = 's got

* We have got school on five days.

* She has got holiday on Friday.

المضارع المستمر
يستعمل المضارع المستمر لوصف :*
Use الإستعمال

- فعل أو حدث يقع الآن :
1-I am eating now .
2-He is still playing .
- يستعمل في وصف حدث مستمر طويل نسبيا:
1-They are building a hospital .
2-I am reading a book .
يمكن استعمال المضارع المستمر لوصف أحداث تقع في المستقبل مثل
1-I'm going to school tomorrow.
هذا معناه أنني سأذهب إلي المدرسة غدا .

تكوين المضارع المستمر
لاحظ الجمل التالية
1-I am playing football.
2-He/she/it is eating food
3-They / we / you are reading a book.
ومنها فإن المضارع المستمر يتكون من :
am/ is / are + V . ing

زمن الماضــي المستمر

• يستخدم زمن الماضي المستمر للتعبير عن حدث إستمر لفترة زمنية في الماضي
The sun was shining all day yesterday .كانت الشمس مشرقة طوال اليوم أمس
They were playing football in the afternoon. كانوا يلعبون الكرة ظهرا
• يتكون الفعل في زمن الماضي المستمر من :
Was - والفعل مضافا له ing إذا كان الفاعل مفردا
I was reading a book .
- were والفعل مضاف له ing إذا كان الفاعل جمعا
Pupils were playing football.
يستعمل هذا الزمن غالبا مع when و while
ينفي هذا الزمن باستخدام wasn't مع المفرد و weren't مع الجمع .

زمن الماضي البسيط

إستعمال الماضي البسيط:

الماضي البسيط يستعمل للتعبير عن:
- حدث في الماضي إكتمل في وقت محدد:
1-I met him yesterday .
1-I played football two hours ago .

- للتعبير عن حدث لا نعرف وقته بالضبط ولكن هذا الحدث قد شغل فترة من الزمن إنتهت الآن

التــكويـــن
يتكون الماضي البسيط من التصريف الثاني للفعل كالأتى:
ويتكون التصريف الثاني للفعل المنتظم بإضافة ( ed ) للفعل الذي لا ينتهي بحرف (( e و بإضافة ( d ) للفعل الذي ينتهي بـ ( e )
الأفعال الشاذة لها تصريفات خاصة تحفظ
